Functions:

Strategy and Development (S&D) division, being an important organ of PTA, is responsible for performing functions summarized as below:

• Explore and analyze emerging/current technologies, latest regulatory trends in telecom industry.
• Assist Authority by providing input on technical, strategic and policy matters related to regulation of Telecommunication sector.
• Development of regulatory frameworks/instruments in pace with technology evolution and telecom services uptake/adoption
• Conducting workshops and capacity building initiatives with vendors and telecom industry stakeholders.
• Liaison/coordination with internal and external stakeholders on policy and regulatory affairs.
• Active collaboration with ITU, APT, SATRC and other global & national bodies
• Any other task / responsibility which Authority assigns.
