Three Illegal Gateway Exchanges Raided in Gujrat and Islamabad:

Islamabad: Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) in its ongoing efforts to control grey traffick has unearthed three illegal gateway exchanges in Gujrat and Islamabad.

According to details, three successful raids against the grey operator were carried out along with FIA team in the different areas of Gujrat and Islamabad. First raid was carried out at Village Bhagowal, Jalalpur Jattan, Gujrat. An illegal exchange comprising of multiple Ports were confiscated. One person was arrested and was in FIA custody for further investigation.

Second raid was carried out at Shadman Colony, Gujrat. An illegal exchange comprising of multiple Ports were confiscated.

 Third raid was carried out at Shop No.8, Kausar Plaza, Sowan Garden, Islamabad. An illegal exchange comprising of two gateways having capacity of 8 Ports each were confiscated.

The successful raids against the grey operators were made possible because of continuous monitoring, commitment and persistent efforts by PTA in curbing the menace of grey traffic thus curtailing the loss to the national exchequer because of grey traffickers in the country.
