Islamabad: Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) jointly conducted successful raids at Okara and Lahore and seized illegal gateway exchange. Grey Setup operational at Okara at 111, Millat Cold Store was successfully raided and thirty five Voice over internet Protocol (VoIP) Gateways along with supporting hardware and two thousands and seven hundred of Mobile SIMs of different mobile network were confiscated. During the raid a person Rehan Ali also apprehended. On the basis of Interrogation with Rehan Ali, another Setup was busted at Lahore. The raid resulted in confiscation of 10 Sims banks. During this raid one person Mr.Muqeet Mustafa r/o. Shah Jamal Lahore was apprehended by FIA.

This action was a result of continuous efforts of highly technical professionals and dedicated workers of PTA who check and monitor the illegal call termination activities and adopt different procedures and processes to track the illegal telecom gateways.
